Interesting Read

So here I am again. In front of my computer, staring at the blinking cursor on the screen. It’s nice here. A simple desk lamp gives off a soothing warm glow while I sip on a small cup of freshly steeped tea.
Earlier today I read an article from Forbes titled, “How to Be More Interesting (In 10 Simple Steps)” I admit, I wanted to be more interesting. So I read it… and surprisingly it was a pleasant read — entertaining even. Most of the steps were merely reminders of what we already know. But there were some that stood out more than others.
Step 9 read, “Grow a pair.” True, having a solid set would definitely get you to share your opinion and therefore make you more interesting. I noticed that the people I prefer to hang around are those who are great story tellers. The kind that set up the scene and with mere words activate the theater in your head.
Step 4 suggested that we “embrace our inner weirdness.” I wholeheartedly believe this one. I think we are all strange to one another in some degree or another. For most it may be an uncomfortable feeling. But for those who have embraced it have liberated themselves from their own imprisonment. I know this from personal experience.
If you want to be interesting too I suggest you check out this article. Even if you don’t read the text, the clever illustrations will drive the points home.
